I’m an early riser so, I go to bed at 8:00pm. That also happens to be time when my teenage son goes to his room to listen to music and talk to his girlfriend on the phone. I frequently have to tell him to turn the volume down when I go to bed. A few nights ago, I went to bed a few minutes early. My son was in his room on the phone and my wife was downstairs watching television. I could hear my son’s music and just hoped that he would remember to turn it down. At exactly 8:00pm the music stopped, and it sounded like a heard of elephants ripping down the stairs. My wife yelled to my son “what’s wrong”? That poor kid was cussing like a sailor trying to tell his mom what happened. He said he didn’t know what kind of spirit friend dad had but, he was sitting on his bed talking on the phone. He actually watched the dial on his stereo knob turning until it was silent. My wife tried to assure him that it was probably nothing, or faulty equipment, nothing to worry about. My son was adamant that wasn’t the case, and he was not going back up there. I just laid there and smiled, chuckling to myself. I haven’t had to ask my son to turn his music down since then. I don’t think he’ll forget anymore. Thanks to my Guardian Angel.
